Team Participates in the 2026 Urban Transport Planning Annual Conference

TransportX participated in the 2026 Urban Transport Planning Annual Conference on July 17-18, 2026. Associate Professor Jian Li delivered a plenary presentation and joined the discussion at Forum 4, “An Open and Collaborative Transport Innovation Ecosystem.”

Associate Professor Jian Li presented “Working with AI: Building an Open and Collaborative Innovation Ecosystem for Urban Transport.” The presentation discussed a demand-led approach to AI agents in transport. It considered how scenario and operational understanding, model and tool systems, and data-access rules could jointly support open governance. Joint laboratories and governance sandboxes were presented as possible settings for testing practices that can later be adapted to other urban transport contexts.

July 18: Forum 4

Forum 4, “An Open and Collaborative Transport Innovation Ecosystem,” took place on the morning of July 18. Organized by the Guangzhou Transport Planning Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Tongji University, the forum brought together discussions on transport integration, data governance, and intelligent tool development, with particular attention to openness, technology sharing, and cross-sector collaboration in the digital era.
